DAVVI SENTER FOR SCENEKUNST MAY - JUNE 23
KULTURDIREKTORATET

STICKY Productions welcomes you to the slug-verse.
In this immersive performance we invite you into a tactile landscape where we move through the intimate and spectacular mating ritual of slugs. Authored by 4 Queer women, slugs become a slippery metaphor for queerness.
The performers tune into sensation, form intricate mechanisms and erupt in moments of explosive desire. As they glide and swell and slip, movement becomes reminiscent of our own sticky human encounters.
Historically homosexuality and sexual variance in animals has been labelled ‘a crime against nature’. Same sex behaviour in nature has been documented since the early 1700’s, but omitted from scientific study due to pervasive attitudes towards homosexuality in humans. OOZE affirms that this diversity has always and will always be integral to nature's great tapestry.
